Job Description

   When you accept the position of Chaplain Aide you agree to provide service in your troop. This responsibility should be fun and rewarding. This job description provides some of the things you are expected to do while serving as a junior leader.

Responsible to: ASPL (and works with the Chaplain).
Term of office: 6 months.
Position type: Appointed.
JLT Training: No.
Other: No.

Duties for the Chaplain Aide:

  1. Keep troop leaders appraised of religious holidays when planning activites.
  2. Assist the Chaplain or religious coordinator in meeting the religious needs of troop members while on activities.
  3. Encourage saying grace at meals while camping or on activities.
  4. Tell troop members about religious emblem program of their faith.
  5. Set a good example.
  6. Wear the uniform correctly.
  7. Live by the Scout Oath and Law.
