Job Description

   When you accepted the position of Den Chief, you agree to provide service and leadership in your troop and assigned Cub Scout Den. This responsibility should be fun and rewarding. This job description provides some of the things you are expected to do while serving as a junior leader.

Responsible to: Scoutmaster & Den Leader/Cubmaster.
Term of office: 6 months.
Position type: Appointed.
JLT Training: Yes.
Other: -Requires Den Chief Training.
          -First Class.

Duties for the Den Chief:

  1. Serve as the activities assiatant at all den meetings.
  2. Meet regularly with the den leader to review the den and pack meeting plans.
  3. If serving as a Webelos Den Chief, prepare boys to join Boy Scouting.
  4. Project a positive image of Boy Scouting.
  5. Set a good example.
  6. Wear the uniform correctly.
  7. Live by the Scout Oath and Law.
