When you accept the position of Instructor you agree to provide service in your troop. This responsibility should be fun and rewarding. This job description provides some of the things you are expected to do while serving as a junior leader.

Responsible to: ASPL.
Term of office: 6 months.
Position type: Appointed (by the Scoutmaster).
JLT Training: Yes.
Other: First Class.

Duties for the Instructor:

1. Instruct Scouting skills as needed within the troop or patrols.
2. Prepare well in advance for each teaching assignment.
3. Set a good example.
4. Wear the uniform correctly.
5. Live by the Scout Oath and Law.
