A Scout is:

   Trustworthy - A Scout tells the truth. He is honest, and he keeps promises. He is a person that people can count on when needed.

   Loyal - A Scout is loyal to his family, friends, leaders, and his nation.

   Helpful - A Scout cares about helping others. He volunteers to help others with out reward other than the satisfaction that he made a difference in someone's life.

   Friendly - A Scout is a friend to all people, regardless of race, religion, income, etc. He is a brother to all Scouts.

   Courteous - A Scout is polite to everyone, regardless of age or position. He also uses good manners at all times.

   Kind - A Scout knows that it is good to be gentle to others. He treats others how he wishes to be treated, and does no harm to any living thing.

   Obedient - A Scout follows the rules, obeys the laws of his community and nation, and attempts to change unfair laws in an orderly manner.

   Cheerful - A Scout sees the positive side of everything, and tries to make others happy.

   Thrifty - A Scout pays his own way, and will help others pay theirs if needed. He also understands the benefits of saving things, whether it be money, natural resources, or living things.

   Brave - A Scout can face his fears to accomplish a task. He stands up for what he believes is right, no matter who may disagree with him. He doesn't take threats so seriously that they run his life.

   Clean - A Scout is clean physically and mentally. He keep his surroundings clean, and encourages others to do the same.

   and Reverent - A Scout is faithful in his religious duties, and respects the beliefs of others.
