Job Description

   When you accept the position of Scribe, you agree to provide service in your troop. This responsibility should be fun and rewarding. This job description provides some of the things you are expected to do while serving as a junior leader.

Responsible to: ASPL, and works with the Troop Committee Treasurer and Advancement Chairman.
Term of office: 6 months.
Position type: Appointed.
JLT Training: Yes.
Other: No.

Duties for the Scribe:

  1. Attend and keep a log of Patrol Leaders' Council meetings.
  2. Record attendance and dues payments.
  3. Record advancement in troop records.
  4. Work with the Troop Committee Treasurer and Advancement Chairman.
  5. Set a good example.
  6. Wear the uniform correctly.
  7. Live by the Scout Oath and Law.
